Revel + Healthy Muskegon County: Looking to be #1 with 1 In 21

We admit it. We’ve snuck a few too many peanut butter cups now and then. Plus, we like our Michigan microbrews at Revel.

It’s time, though, to get moving and get healthy!

In a study done by the University of Wisconsin, Muskegon County was ranked the 64th healthiest out of 83 counties in Michigan. Not the worst, but barely qualifying for a spot in the NCAA basketball tourney.

When Healthy Muskegon County decided to do something about that, they called Revel.

We got cracking on a brand that included the 1 in 21 logo and a new web site to help county residents get in shape and work toward a common goal.

Healthy Muskegon County's new 1 in 21 “21,000 Pound Weight Loss Challenge” hopes to get the county to #1 in 2011.

Visit 1in21.org to take the challenge. You’ll see how you can follow your own personal goals while doing this together as a county.

When you register on 1in21.org and confidentially log your weight, you’ll receive a personalized set of stats about your body, and learn how to get started.  You can also visit the site for helpful tips on how to achieve and maintain wellness, and even get tips and encouragement pushed to your inbox!

All 1in21.org participants can see their collective achievements combined on the homepage 21,000 pound tracker, making the quest personal and cooperative.

As a county, we’re all in this together. Healthy Muskegon County won’t ask you to chase the carrot on the homepage, but we will ask you to help move it along.

In a way, our lives depend on this 1 in 21 initiative.  Join us in the challenge, and let’s get healthy!
